. . . for care from sole to soul
As a health-enhancing technique providing noticeable improvement, reflexology is a practice that can easily be learned for home-use.
It’s effective for all ages because it simply assists our body to normalize. Improvement in energy levels is usually noticed immediately after a session as a lighter and refreshed feeling. For those with insomnia or anxiety, reflexology can be a big bonus!
This is not a medical practice and does not require a university degree to be effective, but as a hands-on practice it is best learned in a hands-on situation where the principles can be applied for direct experience while guidance is available.
It may be impossible to tell if your spleen or pineal gland is working better after a session, but improvement is quite obvious if your constipation is relieved! As a therapist, confirmation of effectiveness was particularly evident after positive feedback from chemotherapy patients who could suffer severe constipation as an after-effect of chemo.
Don’t like touching feet? No problem! Non-latex gloves that fit snuggly will not diminish the experience in the least.
This workshop includes practise of techniques and covers:
- summary of how the body is interconnected
- reflex points on the feet corresponding to body organs
- guidance on the most effective application of the technique
- what to feel in tissue to indicate areas in need of attention
- demo of the technique and a foot routine for in-class learning
- introduction to two Canadian training methods that provide more formal training and their differences
Available from 10 AM until 3:30 PM unless special arrangements are made, this workshop is most often on a Sunday. Please bring a lunch for a ½-hour lunch break. Water and herbal tea will be available and a park is next door.
